Bungee Jumping in Nepal
Bungee jumping is an activity in which a person jumps off from a high place (generally of several hundred feet/meters) with one end of an elastic cord attached to his/her body or ankles and the other end tied to the jumping-off point. When the person jumps, the cord will stretch to take up the energy of the fall, then the jumper will fly upwards as the cord snaps back. The jumper oscillates up and down until the initial energy of the jump is dissipated.
Ultimate Bungee offers a 500-foot jump over a tropical gorge in the Himalayas of Nepal along the Tibetan border. The Bhote Koshi, one of Nepal's wildest rivers, rages below the steel suspension bridge that was specially designed for bungee jumping. The Swiss design can hold up to 4.5 tons of weight and is 545 feet wide, so there's no need to worry about your safety (at least not before jumping...) On top of it all, the dense jungle and pristine forest surrounding the cliff top gorge offer a spectacular view, which many consider to be one of the most beautiful in the world.
BUNGEE JUMPING: if you thought bungee jumping was restricted to some places in Europe, New Zealand and the USA only, it’s high time you got an update. The sport has finally found a natural home among the highest mountain ranges in the world. The ultimate thrill of a bungee jump can now be experienced in Nepal at perhaps the best site in the world.
Paragliding in Nepal
Paragliding is a pretty new adventure sport in Nepal. It is truly wonderful and fulfilling experience in this Himalayan country. You can experience unparalleled scenic grandeur as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas.
The main area for flying in Nepal is the Annapurna region, more specifically the Pokhara valley. This lakeside town is Nepal’s second “city”, nestled at the foot of the Annapurna Himal. The views are unsurpassed here. Gliding is a weather dependent sports and the flying season in Nepal commences from November through February, the best months being November and December. The takes off point for these flights is Sarangkot (1592m.), which also offers prime views of Fewa lake and mountains at sunrise and sunset (provided the skies are clear) and the landing is by the Fewa lake. No previous experience is required as qualified pilots provide a short briefing before launching.
Annapurna Panorama Flights
We take a 20 min jeep ride from Pokhara to Sarangkot the viewpoint 2000ft above Lakeside. From here we can see 3 of the highest mountains in the world. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, all over 8000 m. We offer 3 types of tandem flight from here.
Phewa Tal View
In the morning and late afternoon these 15min flights give you a taste of uncovered flight, taking you over Pokhara Lake and then landing by a Lakeside bar.
This midday flight gives you the thrill of high flight as we thermal up above Sarangkot in the company of eagles and vultures. It takes from 30minutes to 1 hour. We land by the lake.
This offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us, we take you on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards the big mountains. We fly as long as we can and aim to return to Pokhara that afternoon.
The biggest shot of adrenaline in the Himalayas. See what our world class aero pilots can do with a wing as you loop, spin and spiral through the air. Performing maneuvers are called “Helicopter” “SAT” “Back-fly” “Tumble” and “Wingover”. This 10 to 20 minutes flight will leave you breathless.
Ultra Light Aircraft in Nepal
Ultra light aircraft was introduced in Nepal in 1996 and has been offering tours in and around Pokhara valley from Pokhara airport. Because of the proximity of the mountains and the scenic lake, Pokhara is the appropriate place for this activity as they share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites and float over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas. For those who wish they could fly like birds, this flight is a must. The flights are operated in the morning from sunrise till 11am and from 3pm till sunset in the months from September till June. It flies at the speed of 50-130kms/hr depending on wind direction and speed. It can even take off and land in a field or on a dirt road. The aircraft seats two; a passenger and a pilot only.
Elephant Polo in Nepal
Nepal has number of adventure sports to enjoy. Elephant polo is one of the rare, adventures and only one of its kinds in Nepal. The World Elephant Polo Association (WEPA) organizes an annual Elephant polo tournament in the airfield of Meghauli Chitwan, south west of Kathmandu and north of the Indian border. This tournament invites participants from various parts of the world & is a literal boost to Nepal’s tourism development endeavors.
