Trek Nepal Now – Live Local Experience
We are not just a trekking agency — it's a movement to experience Nepal the way locals live it. We believe that trekking is more than reaching a destination — it's about meaningful connection with people, nature, culture, and lifestyle.
🔹 Who Are We?
We are a team of passionate locals — born in the hills, raised by the mountains — who've grown up walking these trails, living these stories.
We are locals who live the mountains, not just work in them. We are farmers, guides, storytellers, and dreamers from small villages across Nepal who believe tourism should be honest, meaningful, and human.
Led by Ganesh Baral and supported by local youth, farmers, homestays, and guides — Trek Nepal Now is a grassroots effort. We combine traditional knowledge, local love, and eco-friendly trekking to support both travelers and our communities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Since April 2023, solo trekking is prohibited across nearly all major routes—including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and restricted areas like Manaslu and Mustang. Foreign trekkers must be accompanied by a licensed guide and book through a registered trekking agency.
This rule aims to boost safety, ensure proper logistics, support local jobs, and improve cultural engagement.
- Trail Expertise & Safety: Guides offer deep familiarity with trails, weather, and altitude challenges—crucial for a well-managed trek.
- Cultural and Natural Insights: Gain firsthand knowledge of local customs, flora, and fauna—adding strong personal meaning to your journey.
- Emergency & Logistics Support: Guides are trained in first aid, permit handling, lodges, and even rescue protocols.
- Sustainable Trekking Practices: Many agencies promote eco-friendly approaches—like waste management, eco-stoves, and supporting community economies.
Top Routes: Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, Langtang Valley, and Manaslu Circuit are among the most frequently trekked trails.
Best Seasons:
- Autumn (Sept–Nov): Clear skies and mild weather.
- Spring (Mar–May): Blooming rhododendrons and pleasant temps.
Off-Season Perks: Winter brings cold but fewer crowds, while monsoon season sees fewer trekkers but decent conditions in rain‑shadow regions like Upper Mustang.
- Choose a Registered Agency: Confirm they're registered with bodies like TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal).
- Pack Smart & Train Well: Essential gear includes good trekking boots, layered clothing, water purification tools, trekking poles, and altitude preparation.
- Prioritize Health & Safety: Ensure travel insurance covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuations.
